Ugh I almost dnf’ed this book many times. The lack of consent and bullying was gross but somehow I ended up finishing and going for the second book…? It’s not well written, feels like some second-rate watt pad shit but here I am in book 2. Don’t read it or maybe do, idk

I started with the graphic audio for about 80%, and that was a complete no go. The sound effects of the male main characters either sniffing people or sucking someone’s blood were so gross and distracting, and I could not focus on the “plot.” Thank goodness for kindle unlimited.

I get that this is supposed to be a bully romance, but I did not like any of the four male heir characters. I’ve heard the writing gets better after the first book, but I am not super interested in seeing where the story goes as of now. I just feel like it’s an adult/college version of Hogwarts, but all of the characters suck and are extremely unlikeable.

I was looking for an easy read, but didn’t expect the writing to be this bad. If there was a plot, I couldn’t follow it; and there’s no discernible character development. The villains are so awful, and the main characters so gullible, it makes for a painful read.

The genre "bully romance" is definitely not for me. The toxic behavior in this story is horrible. I'm a fan of roman e and fantasy, but abuse and lecherous teachers and students don't cut it. I'm disappointed that this was written by women.

Very fun fantasy read. College aged twins at a magic school. Fae. It’s a bully romance which I’ve not gotten into previously. I don’t know if it’s a masterpiece but I had a really good time and will keep reading the series.

Audiobook - this book sounded like it would be fun. Twins sent to a magical school - and are the secret heirs to the throne. Of course, the temporary replacements hate them. Harry Potter wizard school random points to the 4 houses (elements). The teachers all have names that say exactly what they teach. But, then, each person also gets another grouping that says where their magic comes from - and the girls get replenished (magically) but don't know or understand how. It's kinda entertaining, but also has a lot of dubious tropes (and lacks consent in a lot of ways). Probably done with the series after the first.
