The perfect amount of banter and fun. Even though there were a few cringy moments, the narrator really made it an enjoyable and easy listen. I really enjoyed that both main characters were single dads and how one of them was a “bear”—it was great to see body positivity represented. The book also touched on social standards and how they affect both kids and parents, which was a nice touch and blended well into the plot and story without taking it too heavy or far. Overall, it was a really light, easy read that hit the spot as a comfort book.

Extremely funny! The transition out of enemies felt pretty natural. There’s not like a big climactic fight or anything which I really appreciated actually because that’s always my least favorite part of a romcom, and it was easily resolved but I still felt like they earned their HEA.
