Took a while for the story to become interesting, and the references to CDs and DVDs pulled me out of the story every single time, but overall it's a pretty good tale.

Extremely boring first half, then gradually got more and more exciting. Last 20% was very exciting and then the book ended right when it was really getting good.

A man struggling to survive and protect a village after an apocalyptic event remembers his life and how it intertwined with that of the mysterious Oryx and genius Crake.

I loved how Margaret Atwood let the story (past and present) unfold. Every time one question was answered, another five would come up, enough to keep me (somewhat) satisfied and yet always needing to read more. I loved how she created her dystopia. I loved how she wrote it. I loved this book.
