I loved fourth wing, but don’t know how to feel about this one. I was hooked from the start, right after the first book, but I felt some parts were really slow and others too rushed.
Overall, i think the story continues to be well developed and, even though the ending WRECKED me. I really need book 3.
Also, Violet stuck on Xaden’s lies for half the book was a bit annoying, but i get that her whole world has turned inside out so she can’t be perfect.
PS: COULDNT REMEMBER HOW AWFUL IT IS TO GET INTO A BOOK SERIES THAT’S STILL BEING WRITTEN.

Xaden and Violet having the same argument over and over was annoying, but this was still a fun book and I just really enjoy this world and this story.

i’ve been fighting on if i should change my star rating on this for so long and i have officially decided to keep it at a 4.
i loved this book, but i also hated this book. and no, not because of the “miscommunication” on violet and xaden (which, unpopular opinion, i don’t think there was), but because of the so many different plot points that didn’t make sense or feel like they fit in very well where they were introduced. but i feel like that’s also on me because i need someone to spell it out for me since i can’t pull pieces together in a fantasy book like that.
too many things with too much going on, but i got the jist.
will i ever reread fourth wing? absofrickenlutely.
will i ever reread iron flame? absofrickenlutely not.
