Liked this one only a bit more than the first, probably because I'm a sucker for the bodyguard trope. Read it all in one day!

Can’t remember why I waited several months to continue the series… but I guess we all make mistakes.
I enjoyed the hell out of that book, ugly cried out of rage at several situations. Turned out being a proper and well behaved princess would never be me. I would definitely be the rioting one.
Couldn’t emotionally connect with Rhys on the same level as I did with Alex, but that bar was pretty high to begin with. The plot twists were not totally groundbreaking but I can live with that.

4.25

YES THANK YOU.
That is exactly what I wanted from the first book and the author gave it to me in this sequel.
I devoured this in just a few hours and I absolutely loved it.
I switched between a 4,25 and a 4,5 a couple of times, but I finally settled on 4,25. Rhys might have been too possessive/rough to my taste, but I was able to get past it. Of course, it is very toxic, but romance's main purpose in to make us live things that we couldn't/wouldn't possibly live in real life.
The relationship between Bridget and Rhys was just the right amount of sweet, steamy and angsty. I was hooked from the beginning and I was living for every single forbidden look and touch.
If you are looking for a angsty slow burn, ''slightly'' toxic, romance, this is the book for you.
