It is similar to the first book 'Good Elf Gone Wrong'. In regards to both books; I really don't think they need to be as long as they are (574 pages book #1 & 597 pages book #2). But each did have a short bonus "book".
Very mature theme & emotional.

Was this book a copy/paste/change a few details so the teacher won’t know I copied my homework of the first book? Yeah. Was it cringey at times? Also yeah. Did I have fun reading it? Yep.
Do I recommend it? Probably not, but I don’t regret reading it.
I hate the male leads in these books but I hate the family of the female leads even more. Yikes! Anyway, I had a couple of good chuckles so it isn’t a 1 star read.

This is essentially the exact same book as book one which I read last year, and this I looked it up and gave this the exact same rating. I mean i definitely don’t remember all the details from last year but I recall enough. But it’s funny (and a bit cringy) and I enjoyed it. Loved the granny (just like book 1). Generally it’s a 4 star holiday book

sadly it’s Christmas with butt stuff
This would be 4 stars if not for the butt stuff. It’s basically the same story as Hudson and Gracie but even more unhinged grandmother behaviour.

Loved it !!
Such a cute story ! I loved the first book, and I knew that this one would be just as good. I enjoyed the storyline and characters. The crazy side characters are great, especially Grandma Doyle. I myself would love to see these side characters come to life in the future. The writing of this storyline was really done well. Plenty of action, lots of steam. Very sweet HEA

This felt like word vomit on a screen. It was very much a WattPad book with no character development, tons of info you didn’t need and it was just too long. I struggling through about 85% of it.
Imagine the worst possible man you could think of: he tried to muder your brother in combat and went to jail, you caught him breaking into your house trying to hack your conputer, he tells you he hates you constantly, and he is wildly inappropriately.
Now imagine he walks into your family christmas party and kisses you in front of everyone.
That’s exactly what Evie is dealing with when her and Anderson Wynter engage in a mutual blackmail situation.
This book is a fast burn but you get the giddy feels throughout. Grandma Doyle is the life of the party and the one character you can look forward to seeing throughout the entire book.
The story line is a bit odd and there are some plot hole but the book has everything you can want from a christmas novel: family gatherings (albeit miserable), a closeknit group of cousins, and sex under the christmas tree (and on a motorcycle, and on your dads childhood bed, and… through the ceiling??), and some cringey verbiage when it comes to the spicy scenes.
3.5⭐️
