não existe crime perfeito! Às vezes você pensa que está usando as pessoas; na verdade você está sendo é usado!

I was interested in reading the book as Colombo is the defective in the story and I adore the Colombo TV series.

I enjoyed the book. It is very fast paced and to the point which I like - no wasted words and I kept turning the pages to see what would happen next. However, was disappointed with how the crime was solved relatively easily.

There is usually more tension in getting to the bottom of the crimes on the Colombo TV series - a lot more back and forth between Colombo and the murderer, which was severely lacking in this book. However, I don’t regret reading this book - because I love Colombo.

A man greedy for his inheritance kills his elderly uncle by pushing a large bookshelf on him and bashing in his head with a book. In a way, I felt sympathetic towards the killer, Troy, because it's told from his POV. Is it strange to empathize with a murderer because he's the one telling the story? Although Troy called Uncle Rodney a snob, it's clear that he is a sociopath and there's a sense of disconnect in the way he narrates his thoughts. I pity Rodney for having not one, but two sociopaths for relatives.

A Columbo short story lacking in the cat and mouse charm of the classic series. If you've seen "Suitable For Framing" you'll be familiar with a lot of the set-up and resolution. Serviceable but disappointing.
