Something Wild is the free prequel to the Reckless & Real series by Lexi Ryan. This was a great way to start the series, and I really enjoyed seeing how things started for Liz and Sam. There was a ton of history between these two, so while it isn't necessary to read this prequel I would definitely recommend starting here. I think that readers will find that they understand the characters and the story better by starting with Something Wild. Lexi Ryan has done a fantastic job of whetting the appetite for readers with Something Wild, and after finishing I couldn't wait to dive into Something Reckless. I am really looking forward to this series and getting to see more of Sam and Liz's journey.

Something Wild is a prequel to the Reckless & Real series. This is my first introduction to this author and phew - it was hot!

Liz and Sam are friends who both like the other as more. Only Liz has been denying it forever since she was underage when she first threw herself at Sam, and he being the good guy that he is, turned her down. Now she offers him one night of pleasure to try and help him with whatever is bothering him. She can see that something is wrong, but she doesn't know what.

Sam has his world rocked and is trying to figure out what to do now. Only Liz is offering herself up to him and he wants her. He has always wanted her, but could never have her. Plus now he can only offer her one night. One amazing night and that is all they have. Ah, these two were fun to read even if they both keep their feelings to themselves. There is so much unsaid between them and for how short this is there is still some drama, but I can't wait to read more. I need to see what happens between that night and a few years later! These two are obviously great together so I can't wait to see them work everything out. It will be fun.

Did this make me want to read the next book? Sure.
Was the sex good? Yep.
Did anything really happen? No.

I just needed something more for me to go oh yes this is what this series is about, however, I think only the very end really made me perk up. What happened with her and Della? What happened with Asia? Questions questions, but I'm not 100% invested in finding out so I'll go with book one soon and see if I'll continue.

Pas très intéressant je dois dire...et vraiment pas à lire dans l'ordre de la série mais après le tome 1 ou même le 2.

Why do we call ourselves names when we're alone? Does confessing the worst about ourselves to the darkness make our flaws easier to bear? Or is it because we fear only the darkness is willing to take us as we are - imperfect, incomplete, and so desperate to be accepted.

Liz is all bravado. Sexy. Confident. It's a facade. She is sexy, with bells on but that girl, when it comes down to the nitty gritty doubts herself and calamity rules.

Sam Bradshaw - you bellend!

I'm the proverbial deer caught in the headlights AGAIN! Lexi keeps doing it to me. I'm smitten. Hook, line and sinker.

Ding dong, bring on round 1. Ta very much.

Just straight hotness from these two. I read it as part of "Something Reckless" but this was an easy way to get me addicted to Sam. The twists and turns of this storyline are great!

Hot hot hot!!! I love everything I've read by Lexi Ryan. This is a part of the Here and Now series. You do not have to read the others first, but it does help to know the characters' back story.

4 what the hell just happened stars!

First of all I should have checked the release date for the next one why didn't I do that?! How am I supposed to wait for it? No just no give it to me! This book took me by surprise. To say the least. It was short yes but so well written and packed with emotions and good character just wow way to go Lexi Ryan! The MC is not the whiny type so there's that and the douchebag hero is somewhat a douchebag but bearable to say the least. He had his moments but the way it was delivered made you feel for him to be honest. Smoking hot scenes and possessive MC even though he shouldn't be made for a great read that again I should have checked the release date why oh why didn't I?!

Waiting for the next one...
