This one is pretty racist. Mystery is interesting though, so ymmv.

This was the worst Christie work I’ve read because of the terrible Orientalism throughout. While this does occasionally arise in her books, this one was painful in racist remarks and bigoted descriptions. The plot was hardly interesting and far outstretched the length of the book to allow for any considerate explorations. Overall it was anticlimactic and depressingly simplistic in its themes.

3 stars for the story and writing itself, 4 stars for the audiobook narration.

Racist and annoying. The end was better than the rest of the book but it wasn't all that satisfying. It also just felt sooooo long and hard to get through even though it was super short.

Oh my. The science is laughable, the plot is fantastical, and the final scene is unbelievable. Poirot is enjoyable as usual, and I enjoyed having Hastings back!
