A welcome surprise as a five-star novel. In terms of complexity of the case, this is no “Murder of Roger Ackroyd”, and the novel doesn’t really give you enough information to work out the murderer, means and motive properly. This all palls into insignificance against Osman’s superb turn-of-phrase and wit and fantastic characters. Can’t recommend enough.

3.5 stars. The characters were delightful & I would love it if i could have my own club to solve murders at that age. The plot for the murders itself could have been better/stretched unnecessarily i feel.
