one of the most beautiful (and painful) love stories i've ever read. the story and the writing were just... magical.
Spoileri really hope someday we might get to read a book about anger because a) i need to know what happened after 'that' and b) he deserves to be happy and find love

This book is as beautiful as it’s cover! Love and Andrews story is about true love. No not fate, but friends becoming lovers. It gives you a reason to believe in LOVE. Believe in the truth of it, what makes the heart long for ultimate happiness.

“A messy love is a real love. It can’t be faked. It’s something that… grows. It’s like best friends and lovers and family all tangled up.“

This is such a wonderful beginning to this series! Now on to the next!!!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

Originally, this book caught my interest because the female lead was the “supernatural being” or whatever you want to call it. It might just be me, but I’m really used to seeing the male lead be the “gifted” or “different” character. He’s a werewolf/vampire/alien/ghost/superhero or whatever and either the girl is just normal, or she eventually ends up his equal. I don’t see many books where the girl is the original mythical being, though, and it caught my interest. While I felt the book started out a bit slow, in the end, it didn’t disappoint me! Its a really remarkably well-done romance novel with hints of fantasy and its own type of mythology. While the mythology can be a bit convoluted, and sometimes requires a bit of extra suspension of belief, it’s altogether very creative, clever, and unique. It gave a lot of depth to Love and the other deities and it makes me want to know more about that world and possibly get some questions answered!

The characters are truly lovely. Love is an inquisitive, temperamental, and passionate protagonist and she’s well balanced between her good traits and faults. Andrew is the “selfless mortal” gifted with the ability to see Love and her kind, but he’s got a lot of depth and isn’t a stereotypically “pure character” like one would imagine. Andrew swears, is sarcastic, can be wholly stubborn, but still wants to give and take care of others. Love’s fellow deities are also really interesting and I hope to learn more of them in the future!

The writing is incredibly elegant and eloquent. Jaster manages to discuss love, free will, human nature, and human emotion with such a deft hand that I was thoroughly impressed. Such topics are very abstract and some writers can struggle to convey certain feelings and ideas, but Jaster did it with remarkable talent, which I think really added to and made the love story that much more potent. Paired with the creative mythology and some well-done characters, this is a really enjoyable story and I can’t wait to see what Natalia Jaster writes next.

This book was so beautiful. Such perfection.

I don't even know where to start with this review.

I loved Love's character from the beginning. Such a troublemaker, I was instantly attached to her character and her natural desire to create trouble.

This is a retelling of Eros, the mythological matchmaker. Only that in this story Eros is a girl called Love. And much of the things we know about mythological creatures are not that certain.

Love is an archer, along with her class: Anger, Sorrow, Envy and Wonder. All send to earth to help humans with their emotions. They are fast, strong, clever and can't be seen- except by completely selfless humans. That's how Love meets Andrew, and her whole existence takes a sharp turn in another direction.

The relationship with Andrew and Love was fantastic. They tentatively explore each other by asking questions an avoiding them, annoying the hell out of each other with fondness. Even if what they experience happens in such a short time (I am a Number One hater of Insta-Love) I never felt annoyed at what they were experiencing it. Because Natalia Jaster knew how to make it natural, simple, perfect. It was never rushed, and so, so incredibly sweet.

Books are a great part of this book, and stories in general, an aspect I completely adored. The importance of stories, telling them, holding them close to the heart. Believing, learning. It was all here.

Andrew was such a sweet character. Selfless, but not stupid. He knew where he stood, and was witty and quick to respond, always. Never lost. And I loved his limp! I'm sorry if this comes as shallow or offensive to some. But I loved that he had this part of him, this piece that made him so clearly imperfect. It was wonderful.

This book not only talks about love and fate and destiny, but casts a little light on depression, which I really appreciated. It wasn't overdone, just a spark there to acknowledge it. The heaviness of it.

This book had it all: Awesome characters, interesting plot twists, all the feelings, books, bittersweet ending, although most of it a happy one. Truly wonderful.

Contains Spoilers! I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I am so glad I entered the give away for this book. Touch is a wonderfully romantic fantasy story about the fate Love who falls for a mortal called Andrew. I am quite picky when it comes to fantasy novels, but I was drawn in from the first page of this book. Love is fantastically written with her mischievous and proud ways, and her interactions with Andrew who is selfless and who has a wicked sense of humour is great fun to read. I enjoyed the storyline of Love trying to do what is deemed the right thing by the stars and other fates, but also having to deal with what her heart wants. I think every reader of this book will fall in love with Andrew and have an extremely soft spot for Love. Fantastic book Natalia Jaster, I can't wait to read your next! I really hope you write one about Anger's story.......

I been wanting to read this book for long and it didn’t disappoint one bit. The writing felt like a fairytale and the story was so enticing. Andrew is a sweetheart and Love is just so mischievously lovely.
Anything mythology I love, and this wasn’t the exception, how the stars relate to the gods whom relate to emotions, Wonder and Anger stole my heart.

So I received a copy of this book from Natalia Jaster, the author, and she made it the cutest little package. She had bookmarks to go in with it (that I am totally taking advantage of) and had string tied around the book and I said 'awh' for about five minutes. It was adorable. If I wasn't so frantic with moving I would have stopped and taken a picture of it. I sincerely regret not taking a picture.

Not to mention that the cover of this book is so cute. The story is as cute as the cover looks as well. Grant it, there is some adult content in the book (it is about Eros, so I'm not sure what else you would expect).

So Love goes around and shoots arrows at people to help them find, er, 'love'. She has a lot of human interaction without actually interacting with people. Basically she is like a bubble person except her whole purpose for living is to help those people who don't even know she exist.

It's as sad as it sounds.

Then a mortal boy locks eyes with her. Literally he sees her. That's bad news. When a mortal can see a god, that means that they are basically pure at heart and they will set a chain on killing on the mortals. But what if things aren't what they seem?

This was a very pleasant read. It has some mythology in it and some fun. It was written for young than what the content calls for, but I still enjoyed it nevertheless. I would read something else by Natalia Jaster. She seems really passionate about what she is doing and I bet she has a lot more stories to tell.

Okay this was super cute. Not gonna lie, YA really isn’t my thing anymore and I wouldn’t say it’s fully YA, there’s a bit of steam, but it’s very tame and light-hearted. I keep seeing how the rest of the books in this series get so good so I’ll keep reading and I’m definitely intrigued about the other characters! However I just thought the characters shallow. Love Natalia’s writing though
