he was acc so boring what😭😭

Why do I do this

If we talk about the sweetest guy from this series, it’s him. He is the guy you will fall in love with. At first, the story was weird because the sister of MC of the first book was hooking up with her sister’s ex. Gross. But as the story progresses this gave me all kinds of cute feelings.

Here we have Dean Cole. Dean is a rich, sexy and playboy kind of guy. Rosie LeBlanc is the beautiful blonde woman that every guy dreams of having. She had cystic fibrosis and was living with her sister away from her parents. She was so dependent on her but loved her all the same.

Dean and Rosie liked each other even when he was dating her sister. He compared his situation with Rosie to some bible story of forbidden love. I was like what is happening? It was a bit irritating that he was playing around with both sisters. But then after so many revelations, I liked him because of the way he treated Rosie. He took care of her even when she was sick to hell.

At last, everything played out well. I was actually very heartbroken when they showed Rosie on her deathbed. I was devastated. I was able to complete it because the writing style was very nice. Plus, please check out the trigger warnings before reading it.

Highlights:
mutual pinning
Playboy
FMC with illness
Trauma

this book… dean. rosie. intense. and RIGHT.

what happens when you pick the wrong sister? you pull your sh— together and go get the right girl.

i LOVEDDDD these two. the banter. the playfulness. the raw and honest moments. and seeing all the layers removed from dean broke my heart. and the end? listen. i haven’t bawled reading a book in a long time. this book definitely lived up to the expectations i had

Cute loved this. Great couple! Dean is a sweetheart. Now I can be properly destroyed while reading Broken Knight.

Unlike Vicious, Ruckus stays mostly in the present. Instead of visiting the past, past events are just mentioned as thoughts or in conversation. I didn't think it was possible, but I loved Dean & Rosie following in love more than Vicious & Em. Their love story wasn't about revenge or obsession. But about over coming their pasts, and their presents, together.

this is my review for Vicious:
What's with me and rooting for the horrible men in Shen's books?? Although, I'm still not entirely sure what I was rooting for? Vicious' revenge? His obsession? Their love? All I know, is I had no intentions of reading more of this series, and yet.....I'll probably read the whole thing. Including the second set.

Dean aka Ruckus was such a complex character. On the outside looking in everyone thought he was well put together but there was way more to the surface. He struggles with several issues in this story and I honestly didn't know how things were going to work out for him in the end. When you get his backstory your heart can't help ache and break for him. I'm trying to keep this spoiler free as much as possible, so forgive me.

I loved Rosie and how she was determined to live her life to the fullest despite her health issues. She was a very strong woman and I admired her strength in this book. She was dealt a crappy hand but made the best of situation which made me respect her more.

"Because this is life, Baby LeBlanc, and I love the “bleep” out of you, so I’m going to give you the best one there is. Got it?”

For eleven years Dean and Rosie felt something for each other but the timing was wrong. All wrong. You would think after several years later they would have their act together and nope. These two were so stubborn and it made me so frustrated but in a good way. Eventually they finally get it together but love isn't perfect or easy and they encountered several hurdles on their path for a happily ever after. I do have to say I love how their love for each other changed them for the better.

It was so hard writing a review to give this book justice but I gave it my best shot! I have to say this book definitely caught me by surprise. Going in I just knew what was going to happen but the author was able to catch me off guard and played several games with my emotions. I honestly didn't expect to have the reaction that I had to this book and series. Talk about emotional rollercoaster. As soon as I thought it was going to be ok another show would drop. My heart was in my throat and I wasn't sure how much more I could take. The author has a way of creating flawed but lovable characters that you can't help but root for and want everything to work out in the end. Shen words suck you in and you can't help but get lost in her stories. Well done and I can't wait for Trent's Story!

DNF’ing the series because I didn’t like this book and I’m not reading a book that romanticizes an 18 year old with a 33 year old (in the next one).

Also this book had a scene where the male love interest dragged the female love interest over glass and was rough with her during sex because he got drunk and she was fine with it.
