What happens?
Rosie has been in love with Dean since she saw him. Dean used to be with Emilia, Rosie's sister however they've broken up and Emilia is with Vicious. With the path now clear they can pursue a relationship together. The only problem is Rosie has an illness that makes her life expectancy very short.
Final thoughts
I just don't like most books where they kind of swap girlfriends or boyfriends. What I mean by that is, Dean is introduced to everyone as Emilia's ex boyfriend, so him then being with Rosie is just weird to me. Since I don't have siblings I've never been in this situation before & I never will...

Another hit by LJ Shen. Just as powerful as the previous books in the series (Defy and Vicious,) though not as angsty as Vicious. There is some heavy issues addressed, but there is more humor in this one and for the most part it's lighter (despite the heavy topics the characters face.) This has to do with the two lead characters. They are more outgoing and fun, and that fun comes out in the pages. You do not need to read the previous books in the series but the characters intertwine, and you'll see some flashbacks to scenes in those books (from a different POV,) so if you are planning on reading the rest of the series, you will want to read them in the correct order.

The characters are complex and full of life. It's well written with plenty of emotional elements... love, hate, happy, sad. There is plenty of sex and even when the people aren't actually going at it, there are innuendos made and the thought of it is there (in both the male and female's minds.) Because of that and the language, I would recommend this for mature readers.

Why do I do this

Started the series on this one, so I never read the first. But it doesn't matter because this was so good and I read the rest.
