Great book, particularly if you are a fan of hers! 👍

Very inspiring read. At times, I felt as if Shonda were plucking thoughts right out of my head. Highly recommend it.
Read this in one sitting on a flight home from California. Loved the idea of saying yes to your life, loved that her experiment morphed into saying no as well. Great observations on false/toxic friendships, and on valuing creative work as her one true love. Loved her speech on shattering the glass ceiling (it brought me to tears right there in the middle seat). But I'm giving this book only three stars because this book felt really light to me. Plus the cadence of her writing was -- not surprisingly -- very Papa Pope staccato, and that was a little tough to bear.

This was precisely the book I needed to read as I embark on my own year of transformation. Inspiring and sprinkled with references to some of my favorite TV (#TGIT) and advice about being a writer. For any strong woman looking for an adventure tale about learning to love oneself and stand confidently in the sun!

A great story, by a great storyteller. Shonda can spin it all, even her own journey. I loved this year of hers.
This is easily one of the best non-fiction books I've read this year. Maybe because Shonda is a writer and I feel an affinity to her, but I cried through the last few chapters because her personal transformation is extraordinary.
