Darth Vader is on the cover, yet he doesn't appear in any of the comics..... Interesting.
I really dug this Obi-Wan series. It connects a lot of interconnected Obi-Wan stories that bridge the gap between Obi-Wan's long Star Wars history from the movies and TV series in a framing device that we've seen before in previous Obi-Wan stories with Obi-Wan's Tatooine journal.
It really sets the stage for the kind of introspection we get in the Obi-Wan Miniseries

I loved this. Obi-Wan writing in his journal accompanied by flashbacks. The art in the first one and the bridge battle one was great, but the other installments seemed a little uncanny valley to me.
The first story is baby Obi-Wan and a creche friend. Then Padawan Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon encountering what is seemingly a spooky Hound of the Baskervilles situation. Clone Wars Obi-Wan struggling to find a Jedi's purpose in war. Obi-Wan and Anakin confronting a fallen friend. And finally, old Obi-Wan saving an injured stormtrooper on Tatooine.
All of them were great. 10/10 would recommend, if "Obi-Wan comics" is one of your interests.

Some interesting episodes in Obi-Wan's past. We see him as a youngster in the Temple, on assignment with Qui-Gon at a mining colony, during the war with Cody in a particularly bloody engagement, with Anakin some time later dealing with a rogue soldier from that engagement, and as an old man rescuing a stormtrooper after his squad took on some Tuskens. The episodes are framed by Kenobi in his home, thinking back over his life, and intuiting that his long watch over Luke is coming to an end.
It's a little broody, and Kenobi gets a chance to say his signature phrase at one point, and it was actually kind of nice to see him and Anakin together.
