I adore wordless picture books, so I was delighted to find Mayhem at the Museum through our Inter-college loan option. Humorous pictures depict a young girl's class taking a field trip while the paintings and statues come to life, interacting with the children by giving them hats, flowers, fruit, a guitar. At the end they leave the museum empty-handed, but clearly full of joy. The only words in the entire book are on a red sign just near the opening of the museum. At the beginning of the book it says "No Touching the Art" and at the end it says "The Art Touches You."
