Collects the first half of Joshua Dysart's 2012 Harbingers run. Issues #1-14.
#11-14 also overlaps with Harbinger Wars and so includes the introduction of the Generation Zero crew.

Follows primarily the story of Peter Stanchek, one of the world's most powerful 'psiots', meeting and rebelling against Harada - a world-powerful business man and psiot himself - and how he ends up building his own team to combat Harada.

Peter himself is not a likeable character - early in the series he abuses his power against a friend, Kris (the emotional and moral implication of that follow the two throughout the series). He also struggles with the flood of stimulation his powers give him and resorts to drugs to handle it. The team he builds are similarly flawed and damaged people - which of course, just serves to make the whole series more interesting.

This is my first real dive into the Valiant comics world, and I really enjoyed it. It's a dark, morally complex universe with diverse and compelling characters. The villians are as layered and intrigiuing as the "heroes" and the story is well-paced and not overly convoluted by too many interlocking series and dues ex machina like some other modern comics runs.

Also really good. Generation Zero wasn't a personal favorite, but the Renegades and Harada are awesome. Great flow with BLOODSHOT series too
