Even though it's a kids book I found it really informative and helpful. Now I want to learn more about all the other Greek gods. I heard about it through Jean's YouTube channel and glad I did as it'll be useful to have on hand when reading myth retellings. And the illustrations are so beautiful!

How could this not be 5 stars? This book is intended as a children's introduction to Greek myth, and it does exactly that. The classics academia background from author Jean Menzies and the absolutely stunning art from illustrator Katie Ponder make this a must have book. Menzies is particularly deliberate about presenting the less-than-pleasant portions of Greek mythology without ever changing what the source material provides aside from making it accessible and age appropriate for the intended audience. Definitely would recommend!

Thank you, Net Galley, for a copy of this book. I adored this book of Greek Myths by DK Publishing. Growing up, I loved reading Greek Mythology and read over and over the much loved D'Aulaire's Book of Greek Myths. But, this book might surpass even my old favorite. Greek Myths by DK Publishing not only features many of the classic myths but also beautiful illustrations of each story as well as the gods and goddesses. Additionally, then end of the book includes many pages illustrating the impact of Greek myths today, in everything from religion to the names of planets. This is a book that I will be buying for our family for sure. The targeted age is 7-9, and that seems perfect:)

This book is beautiful, easy to read and nice to follow. I loved how it was split into sections, and the way Jean weaved together the myths. When paired with the Katie's illustrations this book is a gorgeous addition to any library.

Very happy to own and have read this stunning book.

A very comprehensive introduction to Greek myths for kids. I liked the pages about Greek life and culture which were included too. Fabulous illustrations!

Jean did such a great job! I love her videos and I knew she would write an amazing book about Greek myths. The art is stunning and it's written in an easily understandable way. I loved this.
