This was a really neat read from the library and is a book I've been meaning to get to for a while now. What we essentially get here alongside Sappho excerpts are writers and actresses and other creative women who took inspiration from Sappho, and excerpts of their lives as well. I like that you get to see the effects of literary legacy several hundred years down the line in these stories, and it reminds you that "someone, I tell you, will remember us, even in another time". Gorgeous and reflective.

These small vignette created such intimate and yet vast, interconnected stories of women throughout our fight for equal rights and in celebration of gay love. Attributing these women with their flowers - fictionalised or no. 

I have never read anything like this, and honestly don't think I will again. This was such a unique narrative and I loved every second of it. Highly recommend.
