This is a very intelligent, complex book intertwining the stories of a handful of well- and lesser known women in the past 2 centuries. I started it as an audiobook and the narrator is great, however this is a book I need to physically pick up and read. There are so many beautiful quotes and intriguing connections that I would advise others to also get a print version.

It's great, but there is no plot and no character development, be warned!
Agak susah dibaca karena banyak perspektif dan menceritakan tentang banyak orang, kebanyakan dari mereka aku bahkan baru pertama kali dengar namanya. But i'm glad this book introduced me to them.
I get what this is doing and may one day be in the mood. but why go for so little of so much when you could drill down on specifics?

This just did not feel like a book. More of a textbook. From looking at the reviews I realised it wasn't going to get any better so stopped at about 3%

Gorgeous and flowing. I loved the structure of mini chapters with narratives flowing into each other. It was incredible to see how the lives of so many queer women intersected and intellectually influenced each other. It was as much an intellectual queer pilgrimage for me as it was a history deep dive.
