The shipwrecks are fascinating and horrifying. People can be amazingly cruel and selfish. But I was surprised that such wild and juicy stories could be presented as such a bland narrative. It presented history as a dry list of information and journal entries that seemed to be asking to be crafted into a more exciting narrative, but weren't.
