Well I loved Fourth wing, but Iron flame just seemed to lack the same excitement that came across in the parapet/gauntlet/class challenges etc. A good 30% at the beginning had me bored and finding plot holes, and don’t get me started on the fact Violet and Xaden spend the whole book arguing about absolutely nothing? That and I expected her to go a bit more badass but she just ended up whiney.
The book just seemed a little rushed, but the last 30/40% did much better, some good twists and turns but I just couldn’t bring myself to make this 4 stars.
Let’s face it, we’re only here for Tairn and Andarna.
