I wish I could do half stars, but really this book is about 200 pages too long. I knew there was a "twist" ending, so I wanted to finish it, but was also really ready to be DONE with this book. I am dragon-ed out. I enjoyed the story overall, but struggled to get to the end.

1) I will 100% read the third installment of this book. This series is straight entertainment.
2) The endings of these books are batshit crazy. I am a little bit traumatized from Iron Flame and I shed a tear (but no spoilers LOL).
3) I am likely being too harsh with this rating, because this book WAS entertaining.
4) My rating is likely influenced by the fact that after 75% I stopped reading this book for like a month lol.
Okay, now to my ishes:
1) I think I am just not an epic fantasy girly. I have been loving my little fantasy duologies that are ooky spooky and medium stakes.
1b) I really loved Fourth Wing bc it was like Harry Potter vibes but with dragons. The somewhat immature dialogue didn't bother me because I was just having so much FUN! Let's pretend I'm 18 again baby! Also Xaden (Xaddy) LOL.
1c) As soon as Iron Flame scope crept to war/ full-continental battle, I really struggled to enjoy the plot. I am just not a fan of constantly raised stakes!
2) I think if I could binge this whole series in one go (like I did with Throne of Glass) I would be more into the war plotlines.
3) The f-bombs were definitely getting to me this time around haha. We would be in a super high-stakes situash, and all of the characters are like "ah fuck I hope I don't shit my pants!" LOL. After reading Emily Wilde/ One Dark Window literally RIGHT before this, I definitely noticed how bro-y the writing is in Iron Flame. Again, I wish I could binge this series in one-go.
Why are my goodreads reviews becoming as long as the books that I read? My memory is turning to crap and I'm trying to keep a record of my thoughts lmao. I have no hate for this series - I literally watched a youtube video discussing theories for the next book haha.

Uwielbiam to że Xaden jest po prostu za Violet. Wierzy w nią, wspiera, motywuje he let her grow - in another words he would burn the whole world for her.
Xaden z tej części urósł pod względem związkowym. To on chciał rozmawiać i nie był zamknięty w sobie ( choć muszę przyznać że ten wątek „ zadaj mi pytanie „ trochę mnie zaczął męczyć to pod koniec opłaciło się)
Violet nadal fav bohaterka. Uwielbiam to że jest taka mądra i sprytna i do tego oddała by życie i to dosłownie za innych za swoje smoki

Płakałam przez 10 min po przeczytaniu i nie mogłam się pozbierać. To co stało się z Xadenem i to że wszystkie wątki zaczynają się łączyć. Nie dam rady jeśli przydarzy im się coś złego. Dla mnie mają być endgamem dla siebie.
I mam czekać kolejny ROK !! Ja chce mieć już to przy sobie
