I really enjoyed Fourth Wing, but this sequel felt very long and drawn out. Some parts were fun but as a whole I found it unnecessarily long and it couldn’t hold my interest. Putting it down for now since I’m not one to force finish a book.

I really enjoyed Fourth Wing, but honestly I was struggling to finish Iron Flame. I very quickly skimmed the last few chapters because I was kind of over all the very teen-like banter and drama. How I felt by then end of Iron Flame due to the slowness of the pace and writing style turned me off from wanting to read Onyx Storm next.
