Rigorously researched, terrifically nuanced and further proof that a reader can always be trusted in Amy Odell's hands.

I wouldn’t call myself an Anna Wintour super fan, but have always been intrigued by her. It was cool to hear about her life and her success.

Listened to the audiobook. Some parts were really interesting and others moved a little slow.

Detailed account of Anna Wintour’s life and rise to power. While Wintour was not interviewed, she encouraged those she knows to participate in the project.

An interesting book about Anna Wintour - surely an icon of our era. I have some small quibbles about certain phrases that kept being repeated in the first half of the book but it rolled along well enough on the whole. It can be tedious in parts - reading a bit like a history of Conde Nast staff movements for whole sections. There is no salacious gossip in here, more a straight sort of reportage about the subject. Probably for fans of magazine publishing, fashion and Anna herself only. It would have been better had Anna participated but at least it’s reasonably balanced and the author makes a good pint that much of the so called frostiness and demanding nature of Anna Wintour would not even get a mention if she were male.

This was excellent - a balanced and thoroughly researched portrait (with behind-the-scenes drama) of a truly fascinating woman.
