It had a really interesting story line however I felt like Meltzer really drug it out. He could have cut 200 pages out of the beginning. My favorite character was Rogo, I felt like he was the only one with any pizazz. I also though that repeating the same scene over and over again from each person's perspective was unnecessary. Would have enjoyed it a bit more if it had a better focus.

Fairly stock political thriller with two-dimensional characters. Quick read.
Kind of like junk food --great fun while you're reading (eating) it, but when you're done you sort of regret that you did.
Somehow I thought it would teach me more about Freemason than it did. Oh, well, it was entertaining for a bit.

Good read
Moved a little slower than his other books but was a good read. He does a good job with the twits and turns.

Clever book. I enjoyed this and it's a gret beach read!
I enjoyed this much more than The Book of Lies. I was drawn in more by the characters, and didn't guess the ending until it was happening. Definitely recommend this as a good read.
Meltzer must be a good writer, since he kept me going through 500 pages of politics, presidents & aides, CIA, FBI, freemasons and intrigue, which is definitely not my preferred subject matter for reading! I especially appreciated his pacing, and the short chapters.
