I can honestly say that while the indicators were there, I did not see that coming, and I am happy for the lack of predictability.

Judith, Becks and Suze were back for another round of mystery solving and life living and they did it well.

I am already looking forward to the next one.

I absolutely loved this book. I am so grateful that my first ARC was a 5 star read! I had a feeling it would be, as I loved the first two in this series, as well. There is just something special about these characters and the cozy mysteries they find themselves in. If you are a fan of the Thursday Murder Club books, you will probably like these, too! I truly love Judith Potts, and I also love that this series really focuses on female friendship and how these very different women enrich each others' lives.

I received this audiobook from NetGalley in return for my honest review.

This is a great murder mystery, and while I initially thought this series was of the "cozy mystery" genre, it really had the unexpected twists and turns of a contemporary thriller.
This is 3rd in a series of mystery solving friends, Judith, Susie and Becks. Susie is at a town council meeting when she observes the Mayor drop dead from his cup of coffee. She calls in her crime solving posse and they are quick to track down what type of poison and the main suspects.

The ladies, older and set in their ways are the highlight, and while I have not read the first two in the series, this one has me downloading them already. The story line is little over the top and unbelievable in some areas, but it's in good fun, so worth one having a temporary suspension of belief.

If you loved the flashback scenes in Murder She Wrote episodes- this will be one of your favs.
The narrator, Nicolette McKenzie, is PERFECT. Based on her performance I would rather listen to all of these than read them, so off to find them!

I definitely preferred the earlier books in this series, but I still love the characters.

Another wonderful story from the Marlow Murder Club. I never tire of reading about Judith Potts and her friends, Suzie and Becks. This time there is a murder at a planning meeting, but the victim is the mayor who everyone seems to agree is a perfect saint! They can't find any reason why anyone would want him dead. Lots of clues lead to many discoveries and confessions, evidently everyone on the council has something to hide but can they find the actual murderer?
Each novel gives a little more insight into the superb characters. They all have their own talents which helps them solve whichever case they are working on. I love how their initially reluctant interactions have turned into best friends who always look out for each other.
The writing was excellent and kept me hooked throughout and the narrator was perfect for the character. I really hope the series continues.
