This book is heartbreaking… and also beautiful and also messy and also so very real.  It makes me sad, it makes me angry, but it also makes me hopeful and nostalgic, the original Greek.

I don’t know who said this book was funny.  I would not describe it as that.  It has humorous moments for sure, but on the whole this is not an “extremely funny” book.

I loved it and I think you should read it.

The story made me feel the despair and lack of hope of the main character, but for the few first pages (aprox the first 25-30 pages), the pace of the book was a bit confusing, so it was hard to keep reading. Nevertheless, after that, the book was particularly thrilling and oddly specific (in the good way) about a few descriptions and topics, this is what made me love this book.

this was such an amazing portrayal of mental illness and the effect it has on the people around you. it just was a little slow and monotonous at points :/

the ending was amazing though

When asked what my favorite genre is, I often respond by saying "slice-of-life" fiction. I kind of just want to hand them SORROW AND BLISS as a prime example of what I mean. A brilliant depiction of love and living and the ups and downs they entail.
