Loved getting the full origin story for Erica, and more of the Order of St. George and their methods/rituals explained. You can see how Erica modeled her style after Jessica. The different factions of the organization are interesting; I was wondering when they were going to explain what the different colored masks represented. Very cool, very excited to keep reading the next in the series.

Our first arc in this series ended with volume 3, and this one is Erica's origin story.
I wasn't too sure how I felt at first about coming completely out of the forward progression knowing that there were more issues/volumes coming. However, I really loved this.
I liked that this gave us more depth to some of the side characters and the organization that Erica is from. I felt more for some of the characters and events in the first 3 volumes than I had before. That is amazing storytelling.

The way this series deals with death and psyche of the kids who have witnessed the horrors is interesting. It might not be something new but its done very well imo. Erica is an amazing character and I love the multitudes that she contains. Its nice to see Aaron in the past and Jessica was all I was expecting to see! A great series !
