I am a sucker for a single parent romance. I was recommended this on one of my book groups.  I loved the dynamic between Barron and his two girls Sev and Camdyn they were absolutely hilarious. I loved the way Barron talks about parenting and the tips he gave along the way. They were funny. I did like Kacy and all the antics the girls and Barron did to get her to stay in town like steal her car battery. But I did not like the age gap between the two it was hard to believe Kacy was only 18 and ready to settle down and be a mom and wife. She’s so young and I just don’t see them working out in the real world. I guess this is why I generally shy away from age gap romances because they are definitely not my thing. Also this book is spicy which I also felt very awkward with the interactions between the two.

2.5 stars. It was amusing I feel like there was some humour involved but first all the heroine did was say she was off to the South and how it was meant for her, she kind of annoyed me in the beginning. Then she met this man and fell in love with him in like a matter of weeks and imagined having his children etc like is that really realistic? I feel like he was still emotionally attached to his ex as he made quite clear in the first few chapters. Only at the end was it really clarified that he was over her. His family was included but not in an overly excessive amount though i feel like i enjoyed his amusing parenthood narrative and the kids unique personalities than the actual romance. It kind of felt like more of a wattpad story though.
