This installment in the Penric and Desdemona series takes a different turn. It covers two different POVs and it was really great to get some more worldbuilding from another perspective. So far, there has been death and darkness in both books I have read, though it is overshadowed by the humor and the snarky backseating of Des and the wholesomeness of Pen and Des together.
Bujold continues to surprise me into laughing. Her writing is so witty and I will often suddenly find myself chuckling.
Will definitely be continuing on to read the next.
