I'm going to try again in hardcopy, I could not get used to the narrator of the audiobook enough to enjoy the story

I mostly liked the fmc cause she’s obviously Megan Thee Stallion and I thought the plot was pretty ridiculous and the mmc was just okay.

We have our royal son who has interests outside of the royal family but duties he must keep up with which leads him to managing an event to honor his late grandfather (? I think). When asked who should perform for the event he mentions a hip hop sensation named the Dutchess who he knew NOTHING about and picked simply because of her name.
When she arrives there are some complications with accommodations and she ends up being situated in the west wing of his mansion or whatever that is large enough for them to never need to interact. But of course, their paths keeps crossing and their attraction is strong despite some tension between them due to his mistake.
I found some things to be a little annoying but I did like the general idea, there were some fun steamy senes and overall it was a good time.

i bought this book almost two years ago atp and wow i’ve been sleeping on it!! like i absolutely love a royal au so i have no idea why i didn’t read it sooner but yes this showed out and i can’t wait to read the next :D

Lol I forgot to mark this one as done. I think a lot of the reviews are getting too hyper critical about the monarchy details, but I just don’t care enough. Plus it’s a fiction book. It was a fun cute romance, which was nice to see for adults

Slow, took too long to get to the meet cute. Theain characters were not lovable and I couldn't see them getting together.
