It failed to accurately display the complexities of Black women’s sexuality, especially in regards to the sexualization of one’s sense. Both characters are extremely flat and continue to make dumb decisions, never learning. Nothing makes sense, there is so little logic in the plots and I have rarely seen so terribly written sex scenes. Seeing the phrase “ he took one pebbled peak into his hot mouth” in a published book was one of the worst moments of the year.

In this steamy romance. When Prince Jameson and the royal family need a bit of an image clean up in fear of the monarchy’s disbandment; A benefits concert is held in honor of Jameson’s recently departed grandfather. After being invited to the concert a mix up ends up having American rapper Dani “Duchess” Nelson staying at Jameson’s home. They are in for more than they bargained for in more ways than one but perhaps that’s a good thing

This was a fun, fairly predictable (given that it's loosely based on Harry and Meghan) romance. Loads of steam, some really endearing moments between the two main characters, and a really interesting look at the realities of life as someone living in the spotlight. Wish we'd actually gotten to see more of the quieter moments of them falling in love, but it was still a lovely read.
