Wow that one was long! The story just didn't grab me & so much...preaching. and to much Lena!
Or was god but not great.

disbelief of women and children

This novel didn’t feel as personal as the last but still good. Hinged more on Lena and Jeffrey’s relationship with Lena having to face her demons. Wish it would have gone deeper.

I actually liked this one a lot better. I still hate Lena though. Luckily Lena wasn’t as much of a focal point in this one and I think that’s why I enjoyed it more. There were a few characters that I had trouble keeping track of but I think that was more on my end rather than the author. I liked that the story dealt with a religious group that seemed to border on cultish. The plot was not wildly unpredictable but still moved forward swiftly and satisfyingly.

Disappointing. Her writing in this one I just found lazy to be honest and it didn’t grip me like her other books. Plot was also too similar to Girl, Forgotten which I just read.

This book was difficult to read at time which is probably the point but I found it hard to push through.
