Another good installment in the series. In this one I felt like I could put the pieces together quicker, but I still liked how it all came together. Ive had my ups and downs with the series as a whole but I'm very excited for the conclusion

I'm reading this series completely out of order but it,s fairly easy to follow the over all story line. As always, I enjoy Sarah's character the most. Honestly, Jeffery isn't horrible but I'm not going to forgive cheating. Not even the fictional kind. He is an amazing sheriff despite being a shit husband. I love how domestic violence was handled here. It is very much a sensitive topic and there is a lot of nuance to each individual case. It was very realistic and I think it showed two very different cases of it beautifully. It's not a black and white subject. The main antagonist was particularly vile in this. Going after children is about as low as one can get. Very clever plotting and the twist isn't so far in left field it ends up unbelievable. The writing is very easy to follow and read and I didn't lose interest 2 hrs in like i do sometimes. The narrator is also easy on the ears, so that helps.
