Even More Enjoyable

I liked this book even better than book one!! Daisy seemed timid in book 1 but she is so much braver and interesting!! On to book 3!

the speed at which i read this book is truly embarrassing

i don't have much to say about this tbh it's a hot mess

i liked it better than gemma's story but only because king cobra's den is much nicer :D the mystery is taking shape though and i would like to know more about the lurkers :))

It brings such a smile to my face imagining them just slithering around, tiny arms doing jazz hands.

This book was better than the first by a bit. The story is interesting to me because I haven't read a romance before with nagas in it. Also, now I want to know what is happening in the bigger picture, so I will be reading the next. That's part of my OBD (obsessive book disorder) where I have to keep reading even if I don't like it much just to see how the background story comes out. LOL. The male in this book is a lot sweeter than the one in the first book of the series, but still is very wild (all the nagas so far are). HFN ending.

There should be TW for SA that nearly takes place maybe 2 chapters in. The FMC has lingering trauma that affects her relationship with the MMC for some time. Overall, both characters didn’t leave a big impression. There wasn’t much special about either one. I skimmed a good portion because I wasn’t invested in their story, especially when the SA left a sour taste in my mouth without any warnings. I’m not sure I’d recommend or continue the series.

Daisy was a relatable character, with her desire for belonging, realism, and ability to adapt. Zaku was a bit annoying with his self aggrandizement, but he was at least friendly and willing to make some compromises.
It’s odd to me when human MCs use colloquialisms with aliens and then don’t understand why the aliens have no idea what they are trying to say and/or don’t bother to clarify. Especially in this futuristic sci fi, where humans have regular contact with multiple alien species. Daisy didn’t do this too frequently at least.
The writing was disjointed in a few places and the book needs some editing for grammar as well.

Spice: 4.5/5

Triggers: dubcon, mention of SA, captivity, near death experience
