I loved it, and then about halfway through it lost me. I didn't hate the ending, but it didn't satisfy me.

One thing I can say about this duology is it needs to be read. Binge it. NOW. There are seriously no words that will do this story justice and explain the depth and uniqueness that Bond has created. This one is Citali’s story and it is just jaw dropping and amazing. My heart raced as things played out, especially after the ending of House of Eclipses. The fluidity of words, the build of the story and how the characters develop is something that is awe inspiring and brilliant. Bond has a beautiful way of bleeding words onto the page and making you feel like you are in that world. The attention to detail and depth is something I live for when it comes to a book by Bond and with House of Wolves, it is something that needs to be devoured. Yes this review is very vague but it has to be. This story is meant to be read and experienced blind.

This book.

So while I did enjoy it , to me was very predictable unlike the first one. Which is okay. I did enjoy the mother / son aspect that’s not usually seen in YA and of course I read because I fell in love with the main characters of the first story.

This story just towards the end got really “ehh”. It wasn’t bad and it wrapped up the world well. It was just missing something to me.

Not bad but not a reread anytime soon for me.
