This was so sappy and I really enjoy it. However the middle part almost made me dnf it if not for the fact that I was Buddy reading it.

(Don’t worry, those all make sense.)

An Ode to Death, quite simply. Sure, this is labeled a romance, but this was far more a free therapy session on the beauty of life and hope beyond it. Made my heart sing,  made me feel so full, and made me feel that much more healed. Ashley Poston did it again. I can easily see myself rereading this in the future to cope with a loss! (Forewarning: one scene is unnecessarily sexual but easily skipped.)
β€œFor what is grief, but love persevering?”

It is sweet, funny, heart throbbing and so relatable on many different levels, such a good fall read (even though I read it in feb.) that gave me hope for my own happily ever after ;)

Ultimately, this was just not for me. The depictions of grief were sincere and well done. There was just too much millennial cringe in this one for my taste, and the near-constant references to real life books and authors took me out of the story every time they popped up. I loved the concept but the book dragged for me, was too predictable and repetitive, and felt too much like reading fanfic for my taste.
