Wise, honest, loving. I hope everyone reads this book and finds something for themselves in it ♥

Vivek is such a versetile artist one can't help but be a little jealous of their breadth of talent. For me though it is Vivek's writing that always really inspires me. I also like that this audiobook was read by the author. This book explores the idea of reinvention. In general \i found the ideas thought provoking and interesting. Mostly like all books that I really enjoy - I found myself continuing to think about the book after I read it.

I’m a big Vivek Shraya fan, despite this being only the second book of hers I’ve read (The Subtweet was the other and it was incredible). This collection of essays is a celebration of change and reinvention. I found the discussion about labels being “choices I make for the comprehension and comfort of others,” to be an interesting reframing. There were some portions that got a bit too self-helpy for my taste, but the book as a whole gets at important questions of identity.

Love change. Loved the moment I read it. Was moved. Felt seen. Want to reread it.

Not my favourite, but maybe that's just because I didn't care for the audiobook
