Really enjoyed this one, I guessed the main twist pretty much right off the bat, but there were still lots of surprises that caught me off guard along the way.

I loved the pacing, and the flashbacks seamlessly transitioning into current events.
Mostly I kept reading because I found Chloe very relatable and I wanted her to get a good ending.

My biggest gripe is the relationship between her and the reporter seemed very unnatural, and honestly unnecessary.

Overall I definitely recommend this book.

THIS BOOK. WOW. I was pulling my hairs out, grinding my teeth, rushing through the pages and having to back track because I couldn't remember what I was reading and the details were a blur. This was that kind of book. And it's been a long, long time since I had read anything that made me cling to the edge of my seat, had me taking breaks from reading and running around the house to process what I had just read. AHHHH I cannot, it was THAT good!!!

Ok, that was mostly my emotions haha, but seriously it was soooo good in sooo many different ways. I mean the plot twists kept twisting left and right! One moment I had made conclusions and in the next moment I had to erase all the ideas formulating in my head, because there were other things at hand, evidence that pointed in all sorts of directions. And omggg the way I was mentally screaming at the fmc (arghhh I want to cryyy)!!! I thought her soooo dumb and stupid for some of the decisions she made, but somehow all of that stupidity worked out and I was so glad for her initial dumb decisions XD. At other times, she made smart moves that definitely did not work for her and made me understand why she continued to resort to those dumb ones lol. As for the ending, I did not see it coming at. all. whatsoeverYou know, throughout the book I thought was the smart one, because I thought I had figured mystery books out...LMAO I was soooo wrong - I definitely DO NOT have them figured out >_< .

Anyway, go read this. Like right now.

Chloe's past is coming back to haunt her and you'll never believe who's behind it all. I did not see this ending coming at all.

Chloe, the daughter of a serial killer is a lovable character you want feel sympathy for. 20 years later she's due to be wed in a month but young girls start disappearing around her. Her involvement affects every relationship in her life as she tries to solve the mystery of who is copycatting her dads sick and twisted murders.

3.75

This book had so many fun and unexpected twists I absolutely loved it. I had thought I figured it out at about 50% in and had two theories I was really leaning towards and just when I thought one of them was it the last twists slapped me so hard out of nowhere.

I almost gave this book 4 stars due to me being genuinely shocked by the ending but I have settled on 3.75 because I found the main character often annoying me. I thought a lot of her decisions were very dumb and dangerous plus like I get that she has trauma from her childhood but that doesn't excuse her actions or dangerous and illegal practices when it comes to taking pills.
