this book was CRAZY!!!! I couldn’t stop listening and i just wanted to know constantly what was next. so many twists and even though my initial hunch was correct in the end, i kept changing my mind the whole way through the book. i definitely recommend this

This book blew me away. The slow burn killed me & I was really ready for the ultimate disappointment at the end but it definitely held up. I feel like it took forever to get to anything that was really exciting though & more things could have been sprinkled throughout instead of holding it all for the last 30%. Another thing I really struggled with is the flashbacks or more so day dreams, I feel like they could have been better separated because I was so lost at some points that I had to be like what time period are we in & what exactly is going on? Just a space between paragraphs would have been a little helpful instead of just jumping right into things

The first half was a little difficult to get through to be perfectly honest. The way it's written causes you to feel the same confusion as the character, which is great! But I wasn't in the mood to have my brain messed with like that.

The actual twist I did (kind of) guess, but it was still a good twist nonetheless. And it was still interesting seeing how it was played out. I wasn't overly happy with the ending, but I do think the story ended how it needed too. So, that's okay.

Compared to other thriller's I've read, this one feels a lot heavier. Like, a lot of the others have plot twists so insane that it feels very fictional. But this book truly felt like something that could be a true crime story. And that's great, but it's very heavy, and leaves you with a sense of dread after reading it.
