A GUERRA QUE ME ENSINOU A VIVER
Kimberly Brubakar Bladley

MARAVILHOSO INSPIRADOR

This was the perfect follow up story. Having more of Maggie and Lady Thorton in this book and seeing the reasons behind some of the decisions made in book one brought this story together perfectly. I was still a bit bothered by the way Ada tried to still control Jaimie and his relationship with Susan. I'm sure giving up that control is difficult, but it was still a bit much for everything that Susan did for her.
This author has a great story telling ability, and her words will have you visualizing these characters and events. Look forward to reading other books by her in the future

This is a follow up to the War that Saved My Life. It continues to show the impacts of World War II on the lives of children living in England. Ada has had a few physical changes in this book, but those aren't the most jarring. Her family now lives with another and a Jewish refugee. This novel continues to tackle concepts associated with prejudice and giving for others.

I loved this book and had a great time interacting with the characters again. It was both heartbreaking and inspirational.

Books that make me cry multiple times automatically get 5 stars. So perfect.

Good. Not amazing, but a solid sequel to The War that Saved My Life.
