Rarely do I love a sequel as much as I enjoy the first book, but that just happened. I read this in one sitting. Ada stays true to form throughout the story; one minute you love her the next you want to wring her neck. If you liked the first book, you will want to read this one!
This was a great conclusion to The War That Saved My Life. I love how Ada had to grow and try to see situations from others' perspective.

essa história é tão linda e real, fiquei emocionada em tantas partes. o jeito que lida com o trauma em várias etapas, principalmente a sua compreensão!!!! me cortou o coração (de novo) ler sobre uma criança passando pelas coisas mais terríveis possíveis, esse olhar infantil sobre tantas tragédias e maus tratos é dolorido demais, mas o entendimento da ada sobre tudo que ela viveu conforme o tempo passa foi feito de uma maneira tão sensível e sutil.
queria saber mais sobre a vida da susan com a becky, sinto que Tem Coisa Aí…. enfim!!!!

This went above and beyond what I expected! I really enjoyed the first book, but I didn’t expect the second to be this good. The author created such lovable characters that are just so easy to understand and get attached to. I’ll definitely look into reading more of her work soon!
I looooved this. As in the first book, a perfectly imperfect main protagonist; wonderfully varied and realistically conflicting and cooperating characters; all butting up against WWII, bombings, rations, and uncertainty.
The first section of the book felt a little recap-focused, yet it was definitely useful.
Bradley makes you feel as if she’s simply documenting observations of real, wonderful, complicated people. It seems that real and heart wrenching and funny and lovely. Love!

A strong story, with interesting and complex characters. It's one of those middle grade books that is written at such a level that all can enjoy.
