I wanted a little more not only from them but also of the female dragons and their stories.
This was surprisingly hilarious at points. I really love these two together. Quick fun read, gives brat vibes with HEA.
After reading this I realize I was never going to like this book, but it had the deeply unfortunate luck of being read right after Annie Bot by Sierra Greer.
If I were going to rate it, I would probably give it about 2 stars; just not my vibe.

I had low expectations for this one because of some bad reviews so surprise surprise that I actually really enjoyed it. It’s a nice change of pace and new dynamics since it’s a girl dragon and a human dude but I liked it!
I stepped away from this series after Amy and Rast's book. Although that one was one of my favorites in the series, the series as a whole was starting to feel a bit repetitive. When I saw this one would be a reversal of the dynamic, dragon female and human males, I wanted to come back and see if it would breathe a bit more life into the series for me. And I did really like that part of it.
Where this kind of fell flat for me was after Gabe "saves" Teva. It's a lot of wishy-washiness without enough direction. He worries about her going mad again, so they visit other dragons to help her...but they never end up doing anything. The entire book is basically them traveling around for no reason and being unable to have satisfying sex. When they finally return to Fort Shreveport, Gabe suddenly realizes that Rast is the perfect mentor for Teva because of all the dragons, he's the most lucid. You lived with this guy for months and you couldn't remember that until you showed up? Come on, Gabe?
So while I liked the idea of the dynamic...even though it took them way too long to figure out why the sex wasn't working....there just wasn't enough story here for me. I would like another book that explores this same dynamic again, but with something more propelling the plot forward.
