Ruby Dixon is a guilty pleasure. Whenever I am in a short slump between books or am waiting on something to be released I pick up in a Ruby series. All her books are quick easy enjoyable reads, unfortunately this one fell flat.

I read the first 4 of this series just trying to get to this one. I finally decided to skip to this one. I really wanted to get to this one because the female is the alien/monster and the male is human. These are hard to find!
However, I'm just not into this world. I've given every book three stars. I don't like the post-apocalyptic setting - starting to think post-apocalyptic is just not for me. And I'm super burned out on mindlink stuff. There's so many series that have this nowadays that I think it's its own trope. Who would want someone able to read their thoughts all the time? Like everytime you scratch your butt, your lover would know? Talk about killing the mood.
This book was okay. The plot didn't have much going on but I thought it was refreshing that they had some trouble in the bedroom. I don't read that much in books, everything is always perfect.

I'd rate this at 3.5 stars!
I was really excited to finally read a book with a female dragon, but I found the conflict/climax to be a little lacking. However, I did like the development of relationships with the other mated pairs from the past books, and I like that we're learning more about the dragons with each installment.
