3.5/5 Fun, fantasy graphic novel for readers aged 9+ with bright, attractive illustrations that touches on themes of friendship, mythology, grief and adventure. This is the first in a series and I look forward to seeing how the story progresses. A great addition to any primary school library!

This was such a good graphic novel. I really quick read. I really liked how this story was not only set hon long and dealt with harder issues like grief, friendship and adjusting to a new life. I also loved the focus on chinese mythology. I also really liked how this story progressed liked that it was action adventure with a a heavy focus on myths and dragons. It was really compeling story, with a realy nice art style!! I will def be checking out book 2!
Love the urban fantasy with Chinese mythologies! Characters were the first interesting. There was a reveal that I saw coming, but it was layered with other reveals that I hadn't seen it seen coming. It was awesome and wish there was more already released!

An ancient treaty, adorable dragons, and a plot that starts with good intentions but takes on a sinister tinge as the stakes are raised and magic and science combine. What more could you want in a graphic novel?
This was a nice first book in a series. It sets out the characters and the world well, establishing all the pieces needed for the adventure to come. Bits dragged for me, but by the end I was hooked and immediately wanted the next book.
The artwork is lovely. Really enjoyed the color schemes chosen and the details.
With themes of loss, new friendships, the intersection of good and evil, and doing the right thing, there's a lot going on in this book and it really sets up future adventures nicely. We get the tip of the iceberg in this one and I'm looking forward to diving down to see the rest.
