This was an awesome book! Considering in 2023 that this book is one of the Singapore Ret Dot books (older readers), it was slightly lacking in the memorable district. Otherwise, it had awesome characters, great plot and was a really quick read!
I really did not understand much about Hank, and the Mazu area, but it was a beautifully crafted plot. I could sense the supposed "plot twist" coming and would hope that this book would be more suspenseful. Really light read, but that's really it!

Very cute and not what I expected. Love how she found a good group of friends. From the very beginning I thought it was weird that the mom started dating the dad’s doctor. I liked the twists to the book and that it left a cliffhanger for the next book. Great book.

Maybe I've finally gotten old, but I was not rocking with this plot. It'll probably be more enjoyable for a middle schooler. It's a pleasant urban fantasy with cute art and nice characters.
