It's gritty, gripping, entertaining and heartbreaking at the same time.
It's a dark story, disturbing at times, with flash of normality and a great detective.
Lottie is a great character: a woman who solves complex mysteries but also tries to go on with her private life and face the challenges like a lot of women.
The plot is full of twists and turns, fast paced and it kept me guessing.
It's the second book i read in this series and I loved it. It can be read as a stand alone.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Recovered from the injuries following the explosive conclusion to their last case detectives Parker and Boyd are called to the discovery of a woman’s body in her home. Isobel Gallagher’s mother discovered her daughter’s body in her bedroom, her baby daughter Holly was in the cot nearby covered in blood but unharmed. Initial suspicion falls on Jack Gallagher, Isabel’s husband. Lottie Parker is sure that he is hiding something and his behaviour is strange for a grieving husband. Then another woman and detectives soon discover that her 4 year old son is also missing.
A tale of control, coercion, drugs and abuse. Another great read in the Lottie Parker series by Patricia Gibney.
Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and Patricia Gibney for the ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

We are at the brilliant milestone of the tenth book in the Detective Lottie Parker series with Little Bones and it's every bit as thrilling as the first book in the series!
This was such a chilling read. It doesn't take long for Lottie and her team to realise that there is something more sinister afoot with the current case they are working on. Time is up against them and you can feel the mounting pressure building. Tensions are high and it makes for a fast paced read.
There are a fair few unlikable characters in this story and I wasn't entirely sure who I could trust. My suspicious mind was working overtime. I was eager to know more about certain characters and could never have come close to resolving this case of which when things start to come together, I was both moved emotionally as well as shocked by some of the revelations. Another fantastic book in a series with a strong protagonist who I love!

Solid read, compelling story and a bit of a convoluted mystery.
A strong entry in a series that continues to go from strength to strength. It is always a joy to sit down with the latest DI Lottie Parker novel and delve into the murky mysteries of Ragmullin. This time around, our favourite detective inspector is investigating the murder of a local woman, Isabel Gallagher. As her team try to make sense of this brutal case, another young mother and her toddler go missing and go the team are handling multiple cases which may well be connecting. Gibney deftly interweaves the interconnecting elements of the tale, ensuring that the fast pace does not drop for a moment and that the reader eagerly jumps from page to page to see what will happen next. Interspersed throughout the murder investigation are flashbacks to a previous murder, and some childhood memories of being bullied. Clearly, there are some nasty events taking place in the Irish midlands and Lottie's team will have their work cutout trying to resolve this case before anyone else loses their life.

A tenth installment in any series is a telling sign of how well the entire series has been received. Lottie Parker comes back to enthrall us with yet another tale of a crime and its following investigation. And alongside we are given a glimpse of her family, and her work relationships.
The plot, as with any of the books in the series, is meaty. A page turner and one that keeps the reader on their toes guessing.
Excellent addition to an exceptional series.

I have read and loved all the books in the Lottie Parker series and I can honestly say they just keep on getting better and better, hard to believe this is the 10th book in the series. Little Bones is a gripping and sinister crime thriller that had me hooked from the very beginning. The story is one that will have you wanting to turn the pages so fast to find out what is going on. I love when a book grips me like that as was the case with Little Bones. This is a book that once you start you will not be able to put down. I can’t wait for book 11. 4⭐️
Number 10 in the Lottie Parker series.
There’s lots of threads in this one and quite a few characters to keep track of, but it all comes together nicely, including an unexpected villain. The developments in the subplots are ticking along nicely and we get to see more of the other members of the teams stories rather than Lottie’s this time, which I found refreshing. That said her demons are never far behind and the ending gives up more intrigue to look forward to. This works perfectly as a standalone but it’s a great addition to this brilliant series
