Half way through and I just can't finish. I am not sure why I made it this far, maybe I was hoping the characters would redeem themselves...no such luck. Hero...too overbearing and controlling with nothing left over to make you like him anyway. Heroine....for such a strong, independent woman she is weak and sappy...I just want to hit them both over the head.

While the series is getting better, this author is extremely repetitive, throughout the series thus far and book itself. All of the pet names for the women so far have been little one. Kind of annoying

She continuously uses phrases such as 'black velvet seduction' or 'white, hot, heat'. There are a few other choice phrases that are slipping my memory but are rather ridiculous after you've heard them for the hundredth time. Can someone please send her a thesaurus? I totally understand that different writers have different styles but repetitiveness in this nature seriously makes me not want to listen (I am doing audiobooks because I'd never get through them otherwise.)

from like a... feminist standpoint this was probably the least bad so far (still very bad but not as bad as the other two)

from an entertainment angle this was just boring and felt very disconnected from the other two books

I love Aiden’s story. I like that it is in the States. This makes for a lot of new places and people. I like that Aiden has a family in Marie and Stefan. He doesn’t realize it until Alex brings him color and emotion. I really like Alex. She is young but strong. How she becomes a Carpathian is different. I love this series, I have read it many times. If you are looking for a really good read with passion and action I would recommend this series!

It's been years since I read this, so it won't be a full review. For some reason I didn't enjoy this one much - I think it was because Aiden didn't interest me much, the situation was so different with the pair find each other, I resented a few things that happened, and it was already wearing a little thin.

Dark Gold by Christine Feehan – Alexandra is out of options when Aidan swoops in to save her and her brother. This book answers some of those questions about how they can get around the no walking in the sun problem! Happy Reading!
