OMG!!! Wow… so these have been on my physical shelf since 2022 and I finally read them!!! Thank you thank you I’m proud of it too.
Did I love Vicious? Yes. Was Vengeful better? Yeah. To me. Hehehehehehe
I loved the new side characters in Vengeful. Marcella kind of ate even though she was the enemy. June was cool and I think book 3 should have more of her. Which speaking of, book 3 is on the table for the future. OMG!
I think the usage of multiple POVs in both novels really contributes to my enjoyment of them because you get to hear everyone’s backstory through their perspective and you get a glimpse in how they think/view the world.
If you want a fantasy book about superpowers and supervillains ~ read this!!! It also has strong friendships, betrayals, and your jaw will be dropped.
Eli … rip i guess but I feel like he’s not really dead ya know?! He can’t be right?
Sydney realizing Serena never wanted her and so she stopped trying to bring her back … brb I wanted to hug Sydney. Also Sydney is soooo loyal to Victor and Mitch … girlypop believes in found family.
Victor and Eli should have kissed. Just saying there was a lot of angst and tension between them.

I really wish there was more of the original trio, Vic, Mitch, and Sidney, and even a little bit of Eli, instead of semi-fleshing out several new characters that don’t seem to matter much in the end. In an ideal world, because I loved the first book so much, this second book would have revolved around fewer characters, fewer plot points. That would have given the story and the characters enough time to have resolved a more satisfying arc, especially since the new problems the “old” characters are dealing with are very interesting on their own.
My criticisms about this second book are born out of love because of how much I loved the story, the world, the characters of the first book. Still, it was a blast to read, and many times through the novel did I audibly gasp. Thank you for this exciting book, and as always with readers, I only want more of what I loved.
